Welcome to the Ocean Drive (CR621) Upgrades and Bridge Improvements website!

Cape May County, in conjunction with the Cape May County Bridge Commission, South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization (SJTPO) and the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is performing Preliminary Engineering (PE) for the Ocean Drive (CR 621) Upgrades and Bridge Improvements. This phase will advance the design of the Preliminary Preferred Alternative (PPA) chosen in the Local Concept Development Phase to secure the approval of an Environmental Document. The PE phase is expected to be complete in Summer 2027. The next phase of design is Final Design. This phase is tentatively scheduled to begin late 2027.
